Tim Fosker
Tim began his musical career with the Royal Welch Fusiliers Band as principal flautist, after studying for 2 years with Alan Melly in Dorset. After travelling with the Royal Welch Fusiliers Band to Berlin, where they were based from 1989-1992, he returned to England in 1991 for a year to study with Graham Mayger (flute), Paul Harvey (saxophone) and Sarah Duller (harp) at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall. In 1993, Tim became principal flautist for the newly formed Prince of Wales's Divisional Band (Lucknow), with which he travelled extensively.
In 1996, Tim left the Army to pursue a teaching and performing career and is now a freelance flautist, saxophonist, clarinetist and teacher in the Wiltshire area. As well as solo work, he plays flute and piccolo for the North Wilts Symphony Orchestra, saxophone for Bath Symphony Orchestra, other orchestras, shows, opera and choral societies in the county and beyond. Tim also plays in his own professional ensemble - The Original Sax Quartet
As well as performing, Tim teaches at Sheldon School, Hardenhuish School, Abbeyfield School, Bradfield College (Berkshire) and St Paul's Primary School. In Wiltshire he has established some very successful ensembles (3 flute ensembles and a sax ensemble), winning awards in the Devizes Eisteddfod and the Mid-Somerset Festival. Tim is an ISM registered teacher of flute and saxophone and an Associate provider for

Other Projects
I have always been actively involved in music and a member of the Independant Society of Musicians and The British Flute Society. I have served on the committees of Marden House Concerts as a woodwind advisor, helped to set up the first Chippenham Arts Festival and, in 1999, I helped to set up and directed 2 amateur ensembles - Fantasia Flute Ensemble, and Saxophonics, both of which were formed to give local musicians an opportunity to get together and perform. The groups were very successful, giving regular performances and even embarking on a tour of La Fleche in France.
I am available for shows, concerts, recitals, tuition and educational workshops. If you are interested in any aspect of the work we do, please contact me
